Once quite common among Jews, Astrology no longer plays a part in Jewish life. This lecture looks at the history of Judaism and Astrology and how it has changed over time. In particular, we look at whether Astrology calls into question the existence of Free Will, whether it is a type of idolatry, whether or not it is a form of prophecy, and what it says about reward and punishment. Examples from the Bible, Talmud, and Midrash are provided.
